Ami Sioux is a photographer whose career has spanned New York, Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Shooting on film for more than two decades, her work balances a documentary sensibility with intimacy — finding the space between public projection and personal presence.
Her path as a photographer began in the 1990s in New York working with Mark Borthwick, before establishing her career in Paris during the era of Margiela, Demeulemeester, and Martine Sitbon. Her editorial work has appeared in Vogue UK, Vogue Japan, Grazia, i-D, Self Service, and Purple.
Her published books include Sabisha, From the Road, and the city trilogy Tokyo 35°N, Paris 48°N and Reykjavik 64°N — each exploring the relationship between people and the cities they inhabit.
She has exhibited solo at Dover Street Market Paris, Mannerheim Gallery Paris, and Bookmarc Gallery Tokyo.
She received her BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute.
